E60 "hacks"

New to the forum, hello.
Just picked up a blk/blk manual 550... 24k mi. with all the packages I know of. Love it, clearly.
As this is not my first BMW I know there are little tricks to do things that may not be obvious(holding in certain buttons, etc) like there were on my E46.
Anyone have anything the would like to share. Maybe we could make a list?

These cars come with Chrome Accents. You must remove them as soon as possible to avoid bashing.....

Tried it with no luck.
Then remembering back to my Contra skills avoided me the costly mistake of doing A, B(which may format your iDrive) when it's actually B, A..!
