E60 Ground Cable No Start

This morning when I went to check the car, the discharge message was gone.

Tried tapping the starter and nothing.
I can hear something click but I'm not for certain it's the starter or solenoid because I'm inside the car.

I'll be towing it in Wednesday. Should I disconnected the battery ?

You are welcome, sorry I couldn't help more. You did everything right, but I guess the starter is fried and does not engage anymore.

Of course it could be a number of other things, but this was and is the first guess with this symptoms.

When you get a diagnosis, please share, I would really like to know the outcome. No need to disconnect the battery for the tow.

So my appointment got pushed back until Saturday

damn flu, we also have some sort of flu epidemic around here that I am getting paranoid about.

It was 768$ Canadian / 568$ usd. Got a brand new Bosch starter and it was 3.5 hours of labour.
