It was always my understanding that the 11th number in the VIN indicates the assembly plant but in looking at my E60's 11th digit it has a B while my E39 has a G. I know the E39 was made in Dingolfing and I thought the E60 was too. Anyone know for sure? And if the 11th is the plant then why the difference?
Counting down the days to the delivery of my E60 and just got the VIN today.

It is a couple of years old... I guess it could be out of date... *shrugs* Interesting... they changed it!! But then again the year codes go up to 2015...
