Default E60/E61 front coil springs the same ????

Hi all the front coil spring has broken on my 2005 E61 535d, when I try to order new ones on ebay and put model details in I'm told item doesn't fit but if I leave details the same but change body type to saloon I'm then told it does fit, so can anyone tell me if the front suspension is different between the estate and saloon versions, thanks for any help, cheers Paul

RWD and AWD Springs are different(still looking into that) but thesprings for each are the same shape. There are different letter designations and numbers for each vehicles.

So far for the front the letters I have found are A , F and M. these would be different for base, Sport and M-sport (not sure which is exactly which. The numbers ( 1,2,3,4,5 etc) are for different models: I6 or V8 or diesel, manual or auto, E60 or E61 etc.

For reference my E61 530xi manual has "F1" spring codes for the front.

My car is a rwd 535d msport estate, so in theory a rwd 535d msport saloon should have the same front suspension set up ?? Thanks for your input

In theory yes or should be very close.

To confirm find the letter/number combo on the sticker(on either front spring) and try and confirm it with the sedan version.

You're welcome to post it up here too(Id love to confirm which front spring letter is M-sport)
