honestly, it could be as simple as a bad ground. Recheck the battery connections first. DId you install anything aftermarket?

No I did not install anything aftermarket, just the battery. I had the battery checked out and found a very loose positive cable. Tightened it and will have the code cleared on Monday as the seatbelt and airbag light have remained on. I had my comfort seat mat sensor fixed last sept. but the light has come back again, I wonder if it is linked to the battery too.

Check for water... passenger floor, trunk... any water in either of these 2 areas can set off a number of electrical issues and warning messages... it could be the alternator or a ground issue, however mine was a water issue and I got the same type of warnings.

Ok, I am still experiencing the same issue. I checked my trunk and it is absolutely dry. So at this point I might have to head to the dealer to diagnose the problem. Thanks for all the suggedtions.

With regards to the airbag light and seat belt light staying on, this may not be a seat mat issue. On the same circuit is the blow off device (i'm sure there's a technical name for it) on the positive side of the battery, there's two thin wires feeding it, in the event of an impact it blows the main connection off the positive of the battery. If you've changed the battery, might be worth checking these two wires are connected ok. Just make sure the key is out of the ignition when you inspect this.

You'll need to get the error reset by the dealer or someone who can before the warning light will clear.

Did you check the passenger floor? Any moisture? If so make sure your storm drains are clear...

Ok, so I haven't had time to take the car to the dealer, but in the mean I have had the battery replaced once again and registered using the BMW DIS system. Needless to say I am still having the same issue where I get all these false errors while driving. Once thing I noticed is when the car is parked and I step on the accelerator, it dims the lights real bad and starts throwing all the errors in my iDrive. I took it to AutoZone to test the alternator and he said it was telling him I had a bad battery, could the alternator be bad? Do I have to replace the whole alternator or just the voltage regulator? Please HELP till I can make it to the dealer.....

Errors seemed to coincide with low RPM's so my guess is with everyone else: charging system.

Try driving in sport mode and see if the errors are any more or less frequent, it's a start.
