Hmm, yes, I see. Thanks for taking the time to dig that up. As I said, you should write Bentley Publications. You'll get more traction arguing with them than you will with me, and it might actually make a difference.

Besides, if you really want to ensure you're properly loaded, you should be measuring normally loaded position ride height at the front and rear. Especially on a high mileage car. With worn springs it's possible that the car may already be sitting at the specified ride height for alignment with a fraction of the weight load.

I'm considering purchasing Febi-Bilstein parts for about 1/2 the cost of the Lemfoerder. Febi is a very reputable brand and I've had good success with using their parts in the past. Does anyone have any experience with their control arms?

I believe they are made in Italy or India as I recall. For me, saving roughly 40% off of OEM-BMW (Lemforder) was good enough to pull the trigger.

Proper installation will make more of a difference than Lemforder vs Febi in my opinion.
