Default E60 CCC M-ASK broken

Hello all,

I tried to retrofit the android head unit in my 2010 E60 535i.

From what I Understand the car has the CCC - M-ASK system with the CIC iDrive control knob. It had the smaller 6.5 inch screen with no navigation.

When I took possession of the car the iDrive was completely functional. However, when I installed the Android head unit the iDrive system no longer displays a picture. I also tried returning it to the default head unit screen and it still will not work. I am trying to find a replacement CCC unit but I cannot find an exact match. I'm not particularly interested in a CIC retrofit due to cost. I want access to the CCC for maintenance and radio purposes.

The unit in my car has the Model Number: VP8KAF-18C852-LH

I have found similar models online with the last 2 letters being different. But I have not been able to find an exact match.

Are these compatible?

Thanks in advance!

Don't search for part with a model number. You search by part number. Also I don't understand how changing out the CID made your CCC not work. If it doesn't work now a replacement is not going to help. You need to find out where you went wrong in wiring it up

From what I understand I fried the video card in the CCC because I neglected to disconnect the battery before installing the Android head unit. The iDrive works because I still have radio and everything I just do not get a display. My mistake for the wording, I have been searching by part number, but I cannot find an exact match to the part number. Will a similar radio work with coding?

Thanks

I've never disconnected the battery to install an Android kit. That is a weird one for me. What's the part number you have? It shouldn't really matter because you'll need to program and code it anyway

That is not your part number. You can search by the ZB number that's the top number that ends in 01 to the left of your picture if you don't know which tag is your part number

Thank you for the help! I was able to find one of those part numbers on eBay!

What website is that for future reference?

I upgraded to CIC a few years ago and still have the old M-ASK (6.5" non-nav) screen and head unit. I can send it to you for the cost of shipping sometime (I live in Canada and I have the screen with me but the head unit is at my parents in Washington State because I was going to send it to someone else on here once but they didn't get back to me). I have a 2009 that also came with the newer-style iDrive knob with the shortcut buttons on it.
