Saw i the paper yesterday, from my town. Youngsters...
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FIRST E60, THESE PICTURES SHOW AN INTERIOR FIRE, MIND HAD BEEN COMPLETELY BURNT OUT FROM THE INTERIOR.

THE INTIAL THOUGH WAS IT WAS A ARSON ATTACK, BUT THE EVIDENCE PROVED THE GLASS WAS BLOWN OUT AND THREE FUSES UNDER THE DRIVERS SEAT HAD GONE AFTER THE CAR HAD SHUT DOWN. THE INVESTIGATOR WAS WORKING INDEPENDENTLY TO BMW, AND HAD BEEN PAID FOR BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY , HE CONCLUDED THAT NO CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE EXCISTED BUT THE CASE WOULD STAY OPEN, HE WAS CONVENCED FURTHER INCIDENCES WOULD OCCUR.

BMW CALLED IT A THERMAL INCIDENT AND WASHED THEIR HANDS OF IT, IT COST MY INSURANCE COMPANY ?30K.

IF THIS IS NOT ARSON IT WILL BE THE SAME AS MIND, I JOINED THIS FORUM TO SIT AND WAIT FOR SUCH EVIDENCE,

I WANT TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS HAD AN INTERIOR FIRE OR INCIDENT STARTING UNDER THE DRIVERS SEAT.

UNTIL THEN BE WARNED, I STILL PARK MY CAR AWAY FROM MY HOUSE.

I've never realized how much I appreciate having a garage until I saw those pictures. I've never been one for vigilante justice but I think Saudi Arabian style hand chopping should be a fair punishment if they catch the vandals.

The early E60's where called in by the factory for seat warmers overheating, this is a fact.

I.e. my ex E60 3/04 was one of them.

Even some burn injuryes have been registered.

I recognize the license plates on the first set of pictures, they are Slovakia. A classic way of sorting out "unresolved business endeavors"
