My E60 was broken into last night and from the looks of it they broke in via the trunk. I didn't have any valuables in the car other then my subwoofer, which they gladly took. They even used my emergency flash light to help them and didn't even turn it off when they were done. I park in an indoor garage that has security cameras and they broke into 3 other cars as well. Mine took the least damage. Out of the other 3 they broke into 2 VM Golf R's. They were completly brutalized. They took all their tires, bumpers and headlights.

I reported the car this morning to the cops and called my insurance company. Thankfully they will cover all costs including my subwoofer and my rates won't go up.

Disappointed my alarm didn't go off. Guess they got around it by braking into the trunk.

Here is a pic of the damages on my driver side front door:

Took 3 drills to get it open.

Blah, not the best start to my day. This is my daily driver so I will be without a car for a few days. Hope it won't be at the shop for too long.

"This is my daily driver so I will be without a car for a few days." Be prepared for more than what youve stated...just a heads-up. insult to injury after the break-in...i'm sure it really blows.

Sorry to hear about the incident. Hopefully those cameras will help catch the thieves. Hang in there, you'll get everything back the way it was. It could have been worse, right?

Just noticed you were from Sweden! My roommates in college were from Sweden and they were awesome I consider them like brothers now. And they always brought hot Swedish girls over

Sorry, off topic. But hey, hopefully it will lighten the mood a bit. Please do update us on your repairs/situation. Good luck.

holy crap. Was your trunk locked (locked with the key so it can't be opened from inside) ?
