Exclamation E60 Both power seats and steering adjustments not working

Hi so I have a 2006 E60 525xi. It's got a few thing wrong and I'm trying to figure it out. I got it and both power seats and steering adjustments don't work. heated steering works. I've checked the fuses and replaced some even though they weren't bad. I've also checked the module to control the seat and replaced it with a working one still not luck. It's weird that it's both seat but I'm stumped any ideas? Thanks.

i checked and all wires are connected. I thought the motors would be broken but its both front seats and steering wheel aren't working. which makes me suspicious it's something else.

Ok so I went in the trunk and was going to disconnect the battery and do a reset and noticed that a fuse was missing. It was the seat occupancy sensor was missing. put a new one in and everything works. Didn't think the fuses in the rear were missing. thanks for your help Bartvzessen. Hopefully this helps someone else in the forum.

Good job finding that fuse missing. Someone might have done that to get around the BST or air bag error. If that happens to be the case, we got you covered here.

Unfortunately, it has the airbag error before i even found the fuse. no codes show up but I think I'm going to get the bts bypass from ebay to see if that fixes it.

If you have an airbag error, you will have a code. What type of code reader are you using?

I have a launch OBD2 reader.
Amazon Amazon

Nothing shows for airbag or seat. I wasn't sure if the reader just needs to be BMW specific. I was thinking of getting a carly, INPA or another one for BMW only.

You need a BMW code reader.

Hold on you have an OBD2 reader that can read the SRS and no codes are coming up. You need to send it back. I have a Launch and it reads everything that can log errors. If you want a code reader get the X431 pro elite. It will save you money in the long run or you can get INPA via BMW tools with a K + Dcan cable. You can't troubleshoot a foreign car with a basic code reader. They are too complex.
