Hey guys, so my 2004 525i's CD player suddenly stopped reading CD's (it makes a noise like its reading it but doesnt play) so I am thinking of installing an AUX input so I can atleast listen to music instead of paying (im guessing) an arm and a leg to replace my CD player. Can you guys recommend an Indy dealer in Los Angeles area for a decent price, also what is the usual rate to add the AUX?

I'd recommend doing it yourself and then have a shop activate the option in iDrive, or code it yourself. There's plenty of people on this forum from LA that I am sure would help you code it.

+1 I did mine a 2 weeks ago...pretty easy to do. The only real cost is having the dealer code it in - if you don't have the software yourself.
