Make sure you take the fill drain plug out before you drain the fluid. You dont want to drain it the figure out you cant get the plug out.

If you checked the fluid while the car was leveled then it is time for a valve body fix. Search for KyleB's DIY and read it. Might find something interesting

Yes they are but it is actually two parts that make it up. The VB and TCU. The TCU separates from the VB. The two parts have to stay together (meaning you cant replace one without replacing the other). You can separate them to work on the VB.

Sean, can you give me the contact details for the guy you've used for valve body rebuild?
Thanks.

Matthew Cilwa

He goes through a company call VBX that is in Virginia and owned by Sonnax. It took them 2 days to rebuild it and have it back in the mail. They say it takes 3-5 days though. You can talk with Matt and have him do next day air both ways if you cant wait long. The price will reflect the extra charge for rush shipping. I also went to CTSC to purchase the Mechatronic Seal Adapter and oil change kit. Pelican parts had the other parts I needed for the install which are the sealing sleeves. The sealing sleeves are hard to find so if you can get them from the local dealer go ahead and grab them. They run between $17-$23 a piece.

If you call Matt let him know his buddy Charles sent you. He will take care of you.

Thanks, I'll call him tomorrow.

Transmission on my car is working perfectly with no problems other than the sleeve just started leaking. When I replace the sleeve, I figured I'd overhaul the mechatronics and replace all the seals. I already bought the bridge seal, 4 tubular sealing sleeves, I was just contemplating buying the solenoids. I will ask Mat if he will test the Clutch Control Pressure regulator valves as part of the service.

Matt is an authorized person to do business with the company. You have to have a license I guess. But what the company does is take the VB apart and replace all gaskets solenoids (if they are bad) and check/correct misalignments. Once they are done the hook it up to a machine like it in a trans and check for pressure loss an other things. They also give a lifetime warranty on their work.
