E60 AHL problem
Hi, I have a fault with my AHL headlights, everything worked until Sunday where they turned perfectly fine left and right, but then suddenly stopped. To start things off, I have a 2004 pre lci E60 530i What I found is, with my topdon scanner but also inpa tests too.Left and right headlight move fine up and down, but only the right headlight moves left and right, whereas the left one doesn't respond. Topdon shows that it fails the test and inpa shows the left headlight as NOK when it tries to do the test. - Headlights level fine on startup just don't do the quick left and right sequence- Both of the headlights don't turn left and right when I'm driving, I assume the system sees the fault in the left headlight and blocks the whole function? Could be wrong- I have no faults on the dash about cornering lights failure or anything, only flashing green light on the light switch - I have fault code 932E - ALC system fault, clearing it does nothing as it instantly comes back- I have swapped the SMC modules between the left and right headlight, fault still remains on the left headlight after coding the SMC's again.- I have manually checked the motor in the left headlight and it seems to be spinning freely- I have checked the wires if they're perishing, but the only one that was pretty bad was the angel eye one, which I fixed a while ago before this happened. I was thinking maybe it's the AHL module behind the glovebox however, is it possible that it only doesn't send a signal to the left headlight for just turning the wheel left and right? I'd be grateful for any help!

what fault codes do you have? what happened to mine was that a single wire was rubbing against the motor for the turning of the headlight and it exposed the kopper inside and caused a short. easy fix with some tape.
My only fault code is 932E, ALC system fault. I have opened the headlight, checked the cables and they are in perfect condition. Only thing I think it could be is the motor, but I gave that power and it works, so I have no idea anymore...
Did you check the headlight assy wiring thoroughly? I ask because I first checked mine and they appeared to be in mint condition. That was until I removed the motor and pulled out the wiring and it looked like hell.
