It a crime to wash your car here in South Australia at the moment due to water restrictions, you are only allow allowed to wash your windscreen and number plate and only with a bucket.....no hose allowed It amazing what a bit of overspray can do

Is it permitted to fill the bucket with a hose? How the heck do you properly wash a car without a hose. I would think it would be covered with scratches from not getting all the grit off the car.

Nice pics MatyB,

Car looks fab

Great to get pics from down under.
That is about exactly from the other side of the world from here.

Suppose your color is pretty close to Space Grey.

Yes you can fill the bucket with the hose and yes if you dont hose it down before you wash you are going to scrath the hell out of you car As mentioned before you are not even allowed to wash your car, only the windscreen and number plates. We do have car washed here that recycle their water so unless you are prepared to be a rouge car washer that is really your only option.

can't you use a water pressurised system at home?
We could use those in Melbourne before when we had water restrictions.

Or take it to your BMW dealer. Get them to wash it

Thanks Ricracing i appreciate your comments, it is great how you can speak wth someone on the other side of the earth about something you have in common. I am actually heading up near your way in a few weeks time, i have a business trip to the Netherlands. I was actully looking at the weather just a minute ago and it looks like it is going to be very cold whilst i am there......well cold for an Aussie anyway.

I think Space Grey is a bit darker than the Silver Grey if i recall correctly.

No i don't think so, you are not meant to wash it at all unless you use a commercial car wash that recycles the water. The car has actually been in at the dealer a few times rcently and they have washed it every time, maybe i just need to find a warranty issue every two weeks and problem solved
