I own a 2010 550i msport auto with 46k which i luv to death and had for two month comming from a 540i which was a great car Im still getting used to the 550i my issue with the 550 is when driving in *comfort mode* theres a throttle delay and almost like if there was a flat spot in the throttle were u press the gas mpg needle moves but the car slowly accelerate unless i step on it move then it downshifts and responds quicker the 540i no matter what speed or gear you were in it instantly responded Ive brought this issue to the dealer no cel and theyre telling me its normal how it acts I have to drive this car in sport mode for it to feel like the car It suppose to be im thinking mabe I shouldve chinged up and got an m5 to get the power I was after .....what do u guys think?
One of the first MODS i did to my 550 was the Sprint Booster 2 with settings!
It is worth every penny. and makes sport driving even better. I belive John at Motorcepts sells these for a bit cheaper than the web. GL

We've all got that - even our M5 brothers - and it's particularly noticeable with automatic transmissions. It's not the engine and DS won't make it all better. Sprintbooster, or one of its harder-to-find equivalents, will fix it and you'll be happy, so +1 on that. And to preempt the forum jerks before they come out to play in this topic - no, you won't get any more power by installing one of these, or hair on your chest, or anything else other than better pedal response.

You may have to just reset the transmission, the person before you might have been a slow driver and the transmission learned their driving habbits. Rest the tranny and you will be good to go.
Might I suggest: https://5series.net/forums/e60-discu...-meant-127596/
Even though you're LCI, it should still be possible to perform this modification. It works like a charm, the throttle lag basically disappears, and the best part is its only about $3 in parts.

I don't think much of the Sprintbooster, in this case it's only slightly more expensive to get the Dinan Stage 1 tune which will give better throttle response AND give some HP too. Not crazy about the pacebo effect of the SB
Ess tuning makes an awesome intake that fixes dead pedal feel and adds more tq than an m5. Everybody has m5 be different!
