E60 545i suspension mods

Hi guys. I'm in the UK and have an '03 545 SE. It now has M sport front and rear bumpers, and I have just fitted 19" M5 alloys. Next is the suspension, but where to start?
I need info from someone who has changed their suspension, with good results, giving make of struts, cost, and of course, how does the car ride?
I want to lower the front a touch, but the rear by up to two inches. Also, I want to stiffen the whole car without losing the driveability, so no boy racer stuff!
In the UK remember, so I know that a lot of the US mods can't be done due to lack of parts availability.
