Right. the IS350 is a direct competitor to the 330 not the 5. but I have a 5 so I'm comparing it to my 5.
As for ride handing being affected by the weight and wheel base... the 5 is more stable in large sweeping turns... in switch back the IS will be easier to manuver since it is on a shorter wheel base...
But I was comparing to 3 series non-sport and I think the IS non-sport is really close and on par in the handling and ride department. It handles just as well if not better than a 3 series non-sport and rides just as firm... only thing lacking is the steering feel and weight of the steering wheel. and some road feel.
