I've had the car in for the 2-1 reprogramming. It fixed the slam problem for a short period of time. It's back and I saw the posting with turning on the ignition and pressing the gas pedal down for 25 seconds. This fixes the problem for a while but the slam eventually comes back.

The reprogramming occured in December '06. The slam has happened 3x's since. I thought about taking it in again, but there doesn't appear to be a fix at this time based on all of the postings on this subject.

Hopefully there will be resolution to this issue in the near future.

Hi guys. I have a '04 520ia with the same problems here in norway. Both the stop problems and the slam. After i upgraded to 24.02 the slam seems to have been remedied but the transmision is acting all funny at times.. Gearing is defiantly not smooth.. Driving in DS is a totally other story.. Never had any issues with that mode.
I just wanted to bring light on that it happens on 520's too.. not only on the bigger engines.
The car is going in on service in a month and im wondering if ill get em to upgrade to 27.xx just for the sake of it..
