#1
Hi, i have a E60 545 and now i have a little problem. so, when the car works normally(driving) its all ok,but when i am stoping and engine works (so 1-5minutes) and then going away ,then the car blows a lot of blue smoke..
I have made the engine diagnose and all looks ok, but still i think it not normal!?
Many thanks,
Risto

Check the compression of each cylinder, many places sell inexpensive compression testers. It screws into the spark plug hole. If you find a cylinder that has a low reading, add a few squirts of oil into the cylinder and redo the compression test. If the compression goes up to normal then you have worn rings, if its still low you may have valve problems.
It could be less of a problem- One of the emission valves (external) could be malfunctioning that vents crankcase pressure.
Are you getting any error messages?

If you want real help you need to give some basic info like mileage, mods, when did it start happening (all of a sudden, more and more over time)

If it increased slowly over time then sounds more like rings or valves. 100k is not a lot but if the last owner used fuel additives that could accelerate wear.

The last owner changed but how spark plugs make blue smoke??
I know the spark plugs might not be related with blue smoke but we know BMW engines are very complex.
to ease the work just check the spark plug number 5 or 6. (driver side). If that spark plug was oiled, that would be a very bad news and it may lead you for a engine replacement or a major repair.
Is there any ticking noise?
