My Ride: 2006 BMW 535d M sport. Bi-Xenons, Auto Lights/Wipers, Electric Seats, 8.8" DVD Sat Nav, 6 CD changer, -think thats everything?!
E60 535d Firmware issues :/
Hi Guys,
I'm getting confused with my 2006 e60 535d professional nav.
I've had the car about a month and it came with a 08/2 professional nav disc.
I bought a 2012 DVD (ebay) and it works fine - including TMC & Perspective.
Trouble is, I can't see the nav "information" section to navigate to POI's and I'm not sure if all the speed cameras are there either.
Sign posts come up when I'm driving around.
How can I get POI working, does the NAV firmware need updating?
Can I update the firmware trouble free?
I thought the disc automatically updated the firmware... Can I check??
Any help guys is really appreciated

My Ride: 2006 530xi w/Sport, Premium, Cold weather. Silver Gray Metallic, Black Dakota leather interior.
I'm pretty sure the 2012 nav dvd did have an update on it, if you have the proper one. Sounds like you don't.

Hey wcr3d,
I've just been checking again and I've found it!!
It's not where all other people have suggested, I had to plan a route and then where you select 'guidance' there is an option that says 'information on destination'.
It's not on the top options - I just have 'traffic information'.
Is that any indication on software /firmware version?
