E60 530i No dash no ignition no crank
Hello good people,
Last night something happened to my E60 530i, M54b30A, my wife drove to the shops, and called me and informed that the car is not starting.
I went to check it out, it happens that battery seems fine, I used a battery tester to confirm.
The car's interior lights are working, radio is coming on, central locking is working, I inserted the key and turned on the ignition, the dash
lights do not come on, it doesn't crank, window are not working and climate control doesn't working.
Please help if someone, ever experience such issue. ( two days back told me about a message on the idrive screen:
"key not recognized, do not turn off vehicle, it might not start again, drive at moderate speed" symbol of key, with (\)
over the key, same symbol appeared on the dash as well. But that would not cause the dash to go blank would it?
I believe the car wouldn't start, but everything should have come on isn't
Thank you

The fastest way to find your issue would be to plug up INPA to the car but I assume you don't have it. You have a bad module somewhere and I would check the trunk first. Maybe some water got in somewhere.

Take the module out that's Sits under the spare tire and look at the pins to ensure they are not corroded. Your CAS is being effected by something. I would advise you get a K + DCAN cable and install INPA on a laptop. You need to find what's going on and doing a manual search might take a while.
