Hi guys , new on here and looking for some help.
My e60 530i has developed the tinging noise from the drive shaft when putting any sort of heavy load ,eg setting off forward or reverse. Had drive shaft off and greased center splines and checked cv joint. Fault fixed for 50 miles then came back. Mutherf@&Łer !!!!! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !!...

I had this issue before and the car needed a new drive line. Try to find Indy shop to fix it for cheaper cost. BMW dealer quoted me for $2500+ for parts and labor.

Is the problem intermittent? How do you know it's the driveshaft? I once had this issue and it was a butterfly valve in the exhaust causing the issue. I replaced the guibo disc and everything for nothing. for a $0.97 fix LOL. I was young and inexperienced.

Hi, I know this is quite old, you say it was the centre bearing, do you mean the main wheel bearing, I have similar noise but it is intermittent. Any help would be great, thanks.
