e60 530i 2009 gearbox problem
Hi, I recently started to have problems with the gearbox, when I star the car cold and shift from P to D it goes back to P and anfter a few trys it stays in D and I can go, the first 5 to 10 min of dirving are slow and if I try to speed up it kinds of shifts hard but after those 10 min the car goes to normal and no problem speeding to pass someone or in corners. Today I went to a bmw service and scanned the car and came with this error " monitorig of the clutch A reduction" (google translator) so I would like some help if the problem is mechatronic related (solenoides) or something else.
Thanks
Andres

There have been a number of posts with that symptom, and IIRC, the most common problem was low fluid. How many miles on the car, and has it ever had the transmission serviced?

You need to change the bridge seal and the 4 cylinder sleeves. Fill with correct ZF fluid doing the correct fill procedure and problem will be solved.
went today to 2 different gearbox speacilist today before I read your post, the first one told me that I have to repair the gearbox (internal discs, etc) and the second one told me that I have to change the entire mechatronich box.

Oh ok. The forum does not have gearbox specialist. They have owners whos been through the same issues before. You have been given the fix.
