E60 530D Auto - Flat-spot at 1500rpm
Hi all,
My beast has just been purchased with a described fault. Start engine, leave in park, take revs to 1500 and hold, then occurs a flat-spot, drop in revs and EML flashes for a split second then returns to normal and does not re-occur until engine has been off for 5 mins or so. Similarly, start car, drive off, engine gets to 1500 rpm and same thing happens. It is very ' momentary' . New turbo fitted two years ago, swirl flaps removed. I have changed plug heater relay, air filter, oil and filter, checked for fuel at line in engine bay, cleaned MAF sensor, changed fuel filter, cleaned egr and replaced all vacuum lines. So now a bit lost. Any ideas? Cheers. Ian (Smiffo)
