I stand corrected. Looking up the specs the V6 shows up at 3712 lbs and the Hemi at 4000lbs. Give a few more for the SRT. That is still a heavy load added for any engine.
Again, you are comaring the 525i not the 550.

I was a previous owner of a Chry 300. It was a very nice American car. It also is a very very heavy car at over 5000 lbs. For as heavy as it is, it handles very well. Needless to say I the sure footedness of any 5-series will blow the doors off any 300.

Reliability is a joke in that car though. I had an alternator, radiator fans, battery issues *Not battery, but wiring and connectors,* just little things here and there that peck at you. All these issues pushed me over the edge for American cars and now I am in the European market. I have had a smile on my face ever since!
