Thanks everyone to all the replies, the info is very helpful to me. Also i went over to bimmerpost.com and posted the same question...man ive only had 1 reply and they said to come here haha, you guys are much more friendly...thanks a lot for that.

Well, this weekend I pulled the trigger on a 528. 2008 LCI, still under warranty, white on black. Ive been driving it for a couple days straight, and wow its blowing me away. so many neat features that the e46 lacked. I installed some OSARAM CBI D1S bulbs yesterday and wow those are sweet too. Anyways, thanks again for all the helpful tips for my search. Here are a couple pics

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.
2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.

Don't forget to check here for any iDrive messages and quirky problems, although you should take full advantage of the warranty for any problem that crops up.Good luck and enjoy your new ride.

Thanks! i'm def going to have the dealer do another check when it gets near the end of the warranty, just to be safe.
