My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.

Anyone see the buzz around Carl Zeiss producing Nikon F mount glass? Sounds like an announcement is nearing.
To me, that's the equivalent of hearing that Dinan just released 10 serious performance mods for our cars....

Owning pounds of both, (Leica and Rollei) I tend to prefer the Leica lenses for romance, and the Zeiss lenses for aching sharpness. I find Schneider a fine happy medium on my Rolleiflexes. I wish I still had a body that could use the CZ Jena lenses: cheap Commie glass that was wonderful.

I shoot M mount as well... The Cosina-built ZM mount Carl Zeiss glass is superb despite what purists would consider questionable pedigree. It's good to see a manufacturer jump on a trend (Zeiss glass being mounted on Canon bodies) if it does turn out that we'll see a new batch of "real" Zeiss glass for Nikon and others. This can only be good news. For the most part, SLR glass being sold today just isn't good enough.
