Yes, this works as advertised. You just need to have AUX input enabled, the interfaces line up and if you don't have navigation this is a great way to upgrade without buying a new car.

My friend upgraded last weekend and this weekend I am doing it. I am an android user, but for the apple fans there is a nice port for your device that displays on the screen. This also supports backup camera as well. You service menus and factory menus remain the same.

I installed the product couple of weeks back and i am here to share the information and pics. The menus are responsive quick and no lag seriously.

My experience was wonderful and love the upgrades. The install was a breeze and works right of the bat. Attached are some pics.

Shortcomings - The stock maps are OK, the good news is you can load maps that you like, so that's configurable.

Gravy - I can stream music from my phone using the dynavins blutooth.

Next week - Installing the backup camera.

I purchased item on ebay search for "E60 Dynavin" keyword.

What's the phone inter phase like? I use two cell phones and, with my current stock setup, I have to reassign anytime I get a call from the phone that isn't linked. Does this one allow for both phones to be linked at once and switched automatically?

I don't know -- BTW I am not aware of any blutooth device which can connect to multiple devices actively and process them at the same time.

You can 'pair' as many devices as you like but essentially it is a one-to-one pipe.

Thanks for the response. I have owned several bluetooth hands free devices that allow this. Some vehicles I have rented and that are owned by my family allow this and the newer BMW and other factory equipped bluetooth vehicles let you pair several phones and allow them to be active all at once.

Hi, does anyone know if this will fit the early E60 style screen? My screen is quite a bit smaller than this one (no navi). Will this wide screen fit with no extra mods? Thanks!

Man I was looking for this type of thread a month ago. Dynavin never answers any emails.

I have a 2005 with idrive no nav
No iphone integration
No auxiliary input
Bluetooth exists but won't connect to my iphone 5s.

This seems to solve all of the problems. Do you need to buy the mod my nav kit to allow cameras to work or does it plug straight into it?

So before you do anything you have to get it coded to allow for Aux? That is it? Doe sit use the existing harnesses or is there splicing?
