I just looked at the new spec for E60 LCI cars and saw it has an option "Dynamic Drive" available with M Sport. I am sure that before LCI it was not possible to order Dynamic Drive (Roll stabilisation via active hydraulic anti-roll bars). Is it possible now or not - does anyone know?
Has anyone driven both cars with Dynamic Drive and M Sport suspension - what is the difference?

I don't have exact answer to your question, but I had a car with Sportische fahrbestimmung ..or something like that, so no M sport but lower compared to standard, without DD and now I have a car with same suspension but with DD.
This DD version feels softer in normal drive = absolutely positive for me. I don't use my car for race driving, so I cannot reply what is the difference in hard driving (what ever it means..).

You are correct that it Dynamic Drive could not be ordered with the M-sport suspension... it could only be ordered with standard suspension or sports suspension. In the US, Dynamic Drive comes for 'free' with the sports pack/suspension.

If that has somehow changes for the LCI, it would be a surprise to many of us...
Where did you read that?

Hi,

DD will be available for M-sport package, but only for E60, not for E61. This is based on BMW UK information.

Unfortunately what is in a "package" in one territory isn't necessarily available in another.

I would be surprised if the "M Sport Suspension" and "Dynamic Drive" would be packaged together.

OTOH nothing is impossible.

Hi,

LCI stands for "Lifecycle impulse" in "BMW-language"

According to most uk websites where you can specify the options, you can add dynamic drive as an option on the M Sport. See link; http://www.motorlogix.com/index.cfm?sectio...eType=N&e=2 or http://www.uknewcarsquote.co.uk/model_misc.php .

I am going to order my car soon (facelifted 535d M sport) and I am just wondering if it's worth getting this dynamic drive or not. What does anyone else think?

On the BMW configurators you currently cannot spec M-Sport suspension AND dynamic drive together.
The configurators in Europe have not been updated for the LCI yet so we can't confirm if that has changed.
Has your dealer told you you can have DD and M-sport if you order an LCI?
