DVD MP3 playback
#1
Hi,
First post, so please me gentle...
I established last night that my 2004 530D with business sat nav with happily play back MP3s that I burnt to a CD. Does anyone know whether the dash DVD drive can read a dual layer DVD-R stuffed with MP3s before I waste ?5 on a coaster?
Many thanks.

Sorry, answered my own question with a search. Oops.

Welcome to the forum Mr. Trilby,
I haven't heard of anyone using the indash dvd for that. Sorry. You may want to look at installing an AUX port and using an mp3 player...
I use my iPod 60gb photo, and have around 4400 songs on it...

Yes it can. I did not but fellow on bimmerfest did (may also be member here) but I cannot get to bimmerfest here at work to get u a link. He had loaded up to just a little over 8gb. I have the DL media but no interest in doing this as I have soooo many alternatives (tape and IPod like device thru Aux), CD MP3, Sat radio. Too much - I can't make up my mind what to listen to Plus my other vehicles MP3 players only read CD media so I like to keep consistent and group my music around that size capability

Interesting. Other posts on this forum suggest that there is a 239 track limit - more tracks than that on the disc simply aren't recognised. Anyone know better? Think I might just suck it and see.
