I had my Dunlops replaced at 9500 miles due to noise (thank you BMWNA
) and boy was it like night and day!
since the noise was a gradual thing i didn't think they were very loud, just moderate.. but when i drove home with the new set, it made me kinda angry b/c i finally realized how bad the old set was!
hard to believe tires can ruin the enjoyment of driving an awesome car.. just hope the new versions are better

I just picked it up. The good news is that BMWNA coverred everything despite the high mileage (18k). The potentially troubling news is they replaced the tires with more Dunlops instead of Bridgestones. Any word on how the new Dunlops are doing? I'm in for another 18-20k before I trade for a 550.
Thanks for all the information by the way. I basically got a new set of tires free based solely on the information I learned here. It's a great site. JJ.
