I searched and couldnt find anything. seems like the passenger side vents dont respond to the temperature setting using the knobs or the ac. It always stays cold no matter what. if i use heat its still cold and if i dial up the temp when the a/c is on, it still stays cold. Any suggestions what may be wrong?

Have you gone into I-drive under climate program and turned up the passenger side air vent?
Is the driver's side working perfectly?

i think tthe car can only handle on situation, of either cooling or heating. if the driver wants to cool, and passenger wants heat that cant happen...
if you go in to the i-drive in the climate controls, in the driver side there are a few bars that specify how cool or hot (blue & red) you want the ac to be...
lower the ac to let say to blue bars then use the outer knobs to select the wanted temp for the passenger...

i know all this but the problem is that one side works and the passenger side doesnt. i.e. when i adjust temp whether it be hot or cold, through i drive vent settings or dial, the passenger side always stays cold....
can someone try playing with this an let me know if its the same for you

if I was in traffic or stopped at a light , hot air turned cold. To make a very long story short, my problem was with the auxillary water pump, it had shorted and needed to be replaced. Dealer advises that there are two water pumps, a main and an auxilliary.
It seems that your "air flaps" are not working on the passenger side. There are 6 actuators on the basic unit (3 driver + 3 passenger) or 8 if you have the climate "high".
The probability for all 3 (or 4) actuators to go bad at the same time is almost none. So I'm suspecting they are not getting any signal from the control unit and therefor all you get is free flow air on the last working position.
Your best bet is to have the dealer investigate it as accessing the unit is a nightmare.
Also keep in mind that even with a perfect working unit the two sides (passenger/drive) cannot be more than 5 degrees apart no matter where you set the dials and of course you cannot have heat on one side and aircon on the other.

I had a similar problem with my heating, the difference being that after around 30 mins I would get heat, however

Thanks....I had the same problem....takes forever to get heat....will have them check the aux pump.
I had a hell of a time with this problem, I told the dealer that they must check the car when it is very cold out to replicate the problem, but they thought they new better and kept checking when either the engine was warm or they kept the car in their garage for a couple of hours and then went to check. Anyways, during one of our sub artic days, I made them leave the car outside overnight and took my keys with me (lol). I then went on a test drive the next morning with one of their geniuses and by the time I took him back to the shop he was turning blue. with cold. ( I had the heated seats and steering wheel to keep me somewhat comfy) I also had told them when they test the car not to do so on the highway as the main water pump kicks in and hot air comes at a much more normal pace.
After they thawed out their mechanic, they agreed that there was a problem and found the faulty aux pump.
Good luck, let me know what happens.
