Dsc and tcm problems
Hi guys,
i’m recently bought a 520i 2008 with N46 engine. My car is just 60k km and i got a fault code is 317A. This is my first bmw and i have no idea abt. So i sent my car to mechanic. There is another fault about “interface, tranmission unit”. So my DCS is restricted. They tried to cleared the fault but while driving the car turned to N and the fault appear again. After all they. After all they told me to replace the TCM. Anyone got the same problems?
one more thing abt my fault oil level sensor, anyone tried FREY sensor coz that”s only one i can buy here. Pls help me this issues. Thks alot

That to me would be either a speed sensor or the ABS itself. Test the speed sensors to see if they are working correctly.

I would check the connectors to see if they are good May need fixing or cleaning up also I would fix the fluid low issue. I'm not understanding how they think it's the TCM? The DSC codes would directly affect the transmission. They need to troubleshoot

TCM issue would show a transmission fault on the CCC. I would also have a look at your battery and alternator to ensure they are good. I'm saying this by looking at your messages it seems odd and that's when you normally have a battery and/or alternator issue
