What's with these Prius drivers? I thought they are supposed to save the planet. I think the lead from the batteries is leaking onto their right feet.

I had the same thing happen to me recently.
I was cruisin' along at about 70 mph on the highway (in 4th gear during break-in) and got dusted by a Prius doin' almost 80!

I'm not kinding, it had to have a custom motor. I was caught at around 2500 rpm's and I did not downshift because I did not think I had to. I do race a considerable amount, most fun in the turns.

Oh so what I was trying to get at is theres not much acceleration in 6th at 2500rpms or actually in any gear at 2500.

Listen, this Prius was worked. I know I was caught at 2500 rpm's, but the Prius moved like stink. A normal Prius, I looked it up, goes 0-60 in about 10.5 Secs, my 545 does it in about half that. It had very strong acceleration and there were other cars on the road so there was a clear point of reference.

I am not really familiar with the workings of the Prius but if it is setup to run on gas during hard acceleration and battery for cruise mode, maybe he reprogrammed it to run on both at will. Who knows but it was pretty funny.
