They have been great so far, but havent seen the non warranty side yet. The only way I can think this happened is the last time it was in with them SO im going to push that.. we will see.

I have an apt at BMW tomorrow morning. I have replaced my DRLs to the OEM bulbs a few days ago. Still no welcome lights. Today after work I received the "increased battery discharge!" message. This is the first time since I noticed the welcome light malfunction in over a week. Could these be related?
Also whats the forums thoughts on the Plate LEDs and Interior LEDs. Would you think the dealer will point to these as the issue for the increased discharge? Thanks

It most definitely is because of the battery.
When your battery is on its way out, one of the electrical quirks that will start happening is welcome lights not lighting up. Have told many of my clients this, and when they change out the battery, everything is good again.

back from the dealer. Long story short, Nomis you were spot on..it was the battery.
Took me for ever and allot of explaining. The highlight of the day was the dealer trying to convince me that the DRLs and Tails dont normally light up and it must have been a malfunction before or coded aftermarket......They dont even know their cars.. Anyway all is good except a lighter wallet..battery was not under warranty.

SWEET!...Unfortunately, battery is a wear and tear item. Still, it's a 3 year old car. My battery was at least 5.5 years old before I replaced it, and it was still good...
