Do DRLs different between EU made cars and US made cars?
For example. I want my car to use the DRLs at day (I have the option in idrive turned on).
So does that mean if I drive the car at day it will have these lights in the middle lit, like in the picture below or standard xenon always?

on LCI models, the AE's are the DRL's

on pre_LCI, yes, the inner lights are your DRL's and will be on during the day, with light switch in the off position

+1

i only use the active headlights, so the lights that are on in the pic (not AEs) only come on one at a time depending which way i am turning the wheel. i think they call them cornering lights with the active set up, might be wrong...

so that means this feature is also available on the EU made cars when the switch is in the OFF position?

EU and US models pre-LCI have the same feature/set-up, most members will actually have the dealer disable them, and then just drive around with there AE's on (via the parking light position)

are your drl's activated/on via idrive?

did you have this e60 new or used? If used, maybe the previous owner had them deactivated? Not sure if that is possible in EU to deactivate them tho...
