I've had the car since the end of November and my driving habits have changed as follows...

1) I usually pass everybody

2) I look forward to turns and enter them very aggressively

3) I find excuses to drive

4) I take the longer route to the office because it has more hills and twisty roads

5) I take every opportunity to get over 100 mph

Anybody else experiencing these problems?

Another subject, had my first scheduled maintenance at 13,000 miles and the service tech said the car was "perfect." My response was "I know."

dito to all those, and one more constantly seek out e39's to see there reaction to the new breed of 5car. Most will not even pull there car up evenly at a light so they can get a look but you can't

That happenes to me a lot.

I get a lot of people pull me over or talk to me at parking lots and traffic lights asking about the car. some of them even confused it with the 7-series, well I did one day i wasn't looking well.
But it does grab a lot of attention.

I did that once myself but I checked out the 7 series so I can really tell a difference from the back.

rem

just goes to show it's all relative - I've just come out of an e46 m3 and I've found

a) I drive more slowly

do much less overtaking

c) keep a bigger distance behind the car in front

d) listen to music louder

e) YES - find excuses to drive

f) ENJOY driving more

I think I do less overtaking because caompared to the m3 it's a big car - just seems to be above that sort of thing!

My driving style has also changed since I switched from the M5 E39 to the 545 E60.

More relaxed driving. Still high speeds!

Maybe it?s the auto gearbox?

Probably change driving style next year again! M5 E60 that is!!!

I've had the car since Feb. and got 3 tickets already(of course all 3 for speed).I almost enjoy it more than my Porsche because i have both luxury and sport with the Bimmer.
