Two comments:

Regarding the original post - my newly-turned 16 y.o. is driving a 99 318i, but I still haven't let him drive my 06 525

Regarding some of the comments - it became apparent to me early that this was a testosterone-dominated forum... vnod, I appreciate your comments

You are very welcome LL. Glad you are here too. It would be good to see you post more often. And, I definitely understand about 16 year olds. I actually was one once. Then I had to relive what I did with my son's driving. And, now he is reliving it. What goes around does seem to come around.

Well, this post certainly took a weird turn.

I read the comments and took them as good-natured, harmless kidding around. But thanks Znod for your consideration that some could take these the wrong way. Although, it can be a bit creepy when it'a about your daughter.

One of the things I like best about our Fourm is that we tend to keep it true and rancor-free. We are the anti-Roadfly. Thanks to our Moderators and to all the participants.

Happy trails.

I agree with you although I have never been to Roadfly. This forum is great. There is very little moderating, and very little needed, except perhaps behind the scenes, and we do a good job of policing ourselves. I feel a little funny about it, but I try to police some--to encourage others to be with the force --no, I mean to behave consistently with what I think our our forum's principles are.

Happy trails.

And, "happy trails to you. Till we meet again."

I let my 16-year-old nephew drive my 545 with a stick. He was very cautious, and I had to encourage him to wind it up a little. He drives a Saab with a turbo 4 and a stick, so he found himself spoiled by all the torque in my baby.

I think I qualify as favorite uncle at this point.

Right, I wasn't offended either. I understand the joking; it's just that it can easily get into sensitive territory if not restrained somewhat.
