Default 2008 528xi Driver side mirror setting not sticking. Keyfob issue?

Hi all,
I have a 2008 528xi. Almost everytime I put in my keyfob and start the car, the driver side mirror automatically adjusts to the bottom left corner. I have comfort access and I adjust the mirror and save the setting to my driver position (#1) but the next time I get into the car and plug my key in, the same thing happens.

Has anyone seen this or had it happen to them?

I have had similar issues. Mine occurred when I would unlock the car or insert in ignition if car was unlocked. I would drive the car and adjust the mirrors, save setting….and the next day I would get in and they had moved ever so slightly.

What I found out was that my setting in IDrive was set to recognize each key. Meaning if my wife drove the car last with her key, the seats would be in her setting..so when I unlocked with my key it would move the seat, mirrors etc to my setting. Vice versa. This is in IDrive under Settings - Vehicle/Locks - Last Seat Pos. (activated/deactivated)

After some time trying to figure out this issue, I changed the setting to deactivated. This fixed my issue. Apparently even if I was the last to drive the car, when I unlocked the car with this setting active, it would move the mirror. Don't know why as its not my saved setting. Its not ideal fix but I am the only one that really drive the car, so I don't need this setting active.

Good luck.
