in light rain, enough to make water flow along the windscreen (so not just a drizzle) I hear water flowing on the right side near the A pillar. It's not leaking although it sounds like that. It sounds like water flowing through a rainpipe.

anyone ever heard that? it's only on the right, not on the left. Are there some escape holes that may have clogged up??

Good question , my e39 had a small leak in the sun roof which caused a similar sound.

no sunroof. and it seems to come from the front bottom side of the windshield. Haven't had the situation where it rained AND I was not in the drivers seat though. so can't be sure.

My E60 does the same but from the left hand side in light rain especially when travelling around 75-80 MPH. Drives me MAD!!!

I have Right hand drive Car but shouldn't make difference as it still has left hand drive wipers (Cheapskate BMW!!)

In that case my guess it's rain water draining down off the screen into the scuttle under the bonnet (OK OK 'hood' for you guys stateside!) and then draining away under the car.

Agree, but it sounds much nearer than that.

I'll try to pinpoint it more exactly, as today again I heard it and was rather annoyed to hear this.
