BTW, is the periodic wheel alignment covered under BMWNA's maintainance program?? If so, What is the mileage interval allowed per alignment?

I doubt it... they dont even cover tire rotation! Not that I can rotate tires in a staggared set up but other cars! Other "BMWs"

I just bought a 2005 530i with sports package including active stearing and run flat tires. The car does not pull to either side on smooth flat pavement. This is not the case when in one of those ruts dug into the concrete by trucks, etc. Then the car really bucks. I guess the active stearing is hard to get used to. Sounds like your problem, though, could be a bad tire.

Update on the ride:

Just got a call from Ernesto the Service Manager at Irvine BMW to let me know that they have yet to find the problem. So far they have done the following with no luck:

1. Alighnment
2. Re-calibrate the steering sensors
3. Swapped out the Dunlop runflats with a set of Michelins

and now BMWNA is telling them to re-alighn the vehicle and mess with the steering sensors -ONE MORE TIME!! as if they havent done this already!!!

God I hope I dont have a Lemon. :'(

They say they'll have more info for me by tomorrow.

Well, after three trips back to the dealer for the same problem and 11 days in the shop, BMW called me today to inform me that I will be recieving a FULL refund on my one month old LEMON. Apperently the dealer nor BMWNA could find the problem with the car and are taking it back!

Now I really dont know if I want to give another 530 a shot? This has been the worst experience for me in quite a while. But, I do have to give BMW credit- they take car of you, when they are at fault.

Well if I decide to invest in another one of these pieces of shit, I will post some pics of what I pick up. Until then, if your car drifts to the right, you might have a chance to get it bought back!!!

peace

I would get another one.
The chance that you will have another problem like this, is like winning the lottery...
