I think if they are wired to go on with the AE's its not a bad thing as long as its not one of those cheesy light strips... The OEM ones on the site look pretty good to me and you are not losing the BMW originality since the AE's are still on.

I can't seem to find anywhere how these will wire up and whether bmw will program off the regular DRL lights?

That's the thing, they are original BMW, so I don't feel bad adding them in and they won't look like cheap aftermarket.

I agree about disabling the DRL's, wonder if BMW will do that once the LED's are installed?

Nice. I had no idea BMW had an option for this. I am actually looking into trying to switch the fog lights with this sort of look. I started up a thread a few days ago about that here. The lights provided in that thread are just an add-on to place besides the fog lights, however I really would love to replace the default fog lights with these. I can't help that they look sweet in my eyes.

I went and asked my SA about these lights a couple days ago and was told that they are available however they would not be able to disable the current DRL and that they would just run alongside the existing DRL's. these lights are wired into the parking lights so that when the parking lights are on they are off.
