My brand new 550i has not been afflicted with the slam curse, hopefully never will . Mine has the sport auto trans which BTW is awesome. I have 1800 miles so far..
my '05 545i w/ steptronic auto had to be re programmed twice, the second time it went away for good.
Ask for a re-program, hopefully that will do the trick.

I have not experienced this. Does this only occur in DS? What about in D or M mode?
