the 7 series had obvious flaws with headlight and trunk design
The 745 trunk looks WAY better than the 750.

As quoted from the current May Road & Track - "The much-maligned Bangle Butt trunklid looks far better integrated now, with a new taillight design and chrome strip just above license-plate level."

Totally agree. Also, the 750 front end looks goofy. Too many cooks spoil the broth.

My friend just ordered at 530xi and we were told all of the 2006 are soldout and he would be getting a 2007 as thats what they are building now. The delaer did not mention a body change or restyling. Does anyone have the photo of the proposed design changes?

Phew... thought it was just me. That chrome strip has to go. Reminds me too much of a Lincoln. I don't think the old back end looked good but this one isn't much better. It's the same but I would rather have the old one with less bright work.

No body changes. Only real changes are Aux input is now standard and sport package now includes comfort seats. Plus the available night vision and some minor emission changes for CA. Also Logic 7 (Premium audio) can now be ordered without the CD changer. Also we now get a few more years of `free' BMW Assist. I think that's it along with a minor price hike.
This is the largest reason they are now called MY07 in the USA, because they conform with the new law in the USA that all new cars by 2009 must have active flat tire sensors
The system does not show the pressure in the tire, just which one is flat.

Hi everyone.
1st post as I recently ordered my first 5 Series. Being in the UK with our horrendous fuel prices I have gone for a 520D M sport in Titanium Silver.
I queried the facelift with my dealer last week and he replied as follows;
"I have spoken to Keith Farrell our new car sales manager.
There is no face lift due this spring - the only difference is an i-pod connection fitted from week 9 production.
Your vehicle will have this i-pod connection and is currently marked High Priority which means it will arrive April/May.
Any product may receive an alteration throughout its model lifespan. Minor enhancements may occur at any time and any specific Model Year actions occur from September and not the Spring."
So it doesnt look like the UK are getting the comfort seats, what do you think are there major spec differences between UK & US?
Cheers
Andy
