I've only had her for 3 months, and have only just really inspected the passenger side for the first time in a month or so, as i've been away. Opened the door, and to my suprise, a large, 10 inch section of the inner door seal, has eroded away.
Its really puzzling, as neither I or the missus have noticed it before. When i took it to the bimmer garage, the guy had a crappy attitude, and said it was because of big people rubbing on it as they got in, but after looking at us, stated that it could not be blamed on us, it must have been the previous owner.
I personally recon thats a load of crap, how would someone brushing past a rubber door seal make it disintigrate? Maybe, it would show some sign of wear, but not this bad, i'll post a pic tomoz. They're gonna check if its covered under warranty and get back to me.
What do you guys recon, has anybody ever faced this problem?

the mechanic is 100% correct. They do get rubbed up against when getting in. Gotta pay special attention.
