I think my car's door lock isnt working properly. For instance, when i lock the doors and then try to unlock it (using the central lock button on the dashboard or pressing the remote) it won't respond. Is this how it supposed to work? That is, does the door unlock doesnt work immediately after u lock the doors? It seems to unlock fine when i wait for about 10 sec after locking the car. Can anyone check this? If this is abnormal, I need to take my car to the dealer

I do not have this problem. There should not be a 10 sec delay. Could it be due to weak battery in the key?

using the central lock button on the dashboard
??
what button is this, then?
my understanding is that, from inside, there is NO way to unlock the doors (although maybe US models have an unlock buttom - like to acceptance screen on iDrive - for legal reasons?)

i think it should have an inside central lock button
but, and help me out here, you folks from the UK or the EU, it does not have such a button!

There is a button at the centre of the dashboard for locking and unlocking the doors from inside the car. Refer to pics of dashboard
