Hi guys. I noticed a strange thing on my E60 from 2004: I can not lock the rear left door by hand, or pressing the lock button in the car. One is still able to open that door from outside. It seems that the lock is not getting locked in „pin pressed down“ position. Pin is jumping up when you open the door from outside.

Everything works perfect when I lock the car with the key.

I disconnected the minus of the car-aku, to check if the problem is electrical, but no, still the same issue! That door is not getting locked, but others do! So, in my understanding, the problem is not electric.

Did anyone had the same issue or know how to fix it?

Bought in Ebay a used BMW E61/E60 (part number 7202147) back left door lock by 13,50€ and replaced it. Actually was very easy to replace: one just need to remove the door cover first, unplug the lock electrical connector, unscrew 3 bolts and de-touch 2 things from lock...
