I moved a relative using a fairly new Kia van last week. Drove out to their house in early morning in my beloved E60. Loaded and drove the van several times which was hard work. Needless to say, was quite suprised at the quality of the Kia's materials and its smooth reving V6 DOHC powerplant. Seats and sitting position were nice with a great view of the road. Seems Kia has come a long way and new mini vans are far better than they were years ago.
So, it was time to return home in the E60 after a long day. As the sweat began to dry, I looked forward to return trip which would take me through 6 miles of lush forest preserve scenery on a reportedly newly resurfaced road.
So I climbed in the E60 and hit the road. OMG, the E60 felt like heaven as we loafed along at 80 in the sunshine. The car was serene and quiet, the suspension breezing through the different road surfaces, and the engine purring like a turbine. The nice interior smells, comfy seats, and great feel of the steering wheel combined to provide a feeling of utter driving estascy. The seating position was low and inclined and no doubt the result of careful and scientific study of the human anatomy. More like a sportscar. What a car. And not a bad route either.
Just a thought next time your pissed off in traffic, which I'll in about 40 minutes for now.

Kia van built quality is very cheap. My bro-in-law rent a brand new Kia van drving down SoCal and he said it's not very safe to drive. Brake is no as good as his Xterra. I'm sure Kia van and E60 are hell and heaven, respectively.

Disagree. Hell
is more like a Pontiac Grand Am or a Buick LaSabre. And there are countless cars on the way there, including that Xterra.

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
Did take the City Bus yesterday to downtown, home to DT in under 15 minutes.
No parking problems, no speeding tickets and I did the trip after some 4 drinks,
so no drunk driving either.
It's about what you compare with.

I take the train to work too. About 26 minutes versus 1 hr in the car.
Try this. After my 6 drinks (sometimes a chaser or two on the train ride home), I arrive home and sit in my e60 and let the L7 do its thing.
