I pushed the voice command button on my steering wheel and I hear the voice say 'func..." and then it cuts off... Am I supposed to have voice command functionality in my non-NAV equipped '05 545 and it's just screwed up? or is it not supposed to work at all because I don't have navigation? Any help would be appreicated....TIA

 

Yep, it happens on mine to after having BT retrofit. It only work on the button on steering wheel. I think it says "fu?k". Not "func..."
I think BMW want to swear at Americans? Or is at a stimulating function while couple is in the car?

 

Yeah, I just had the software upgrade performed on my car about a month ago and just noticed this....Is voice command supposed work on non-NAV cars?

 

You need NAV for voice commands. Except for the Bluetooth phone, I believe.

 

Voice command, besides bluetooth only works with NAV cars.

So if you dont have nav then with a blue tooth phone you'll have the phone functions of voice command only.
