My Ride: 530d Sport manual Mystic Blue, black Dakota leather, advanced air con, fold/split rear seats, Logic 7, business nav, 6cd, heated F seats
Default

Ordered a car today (UK 530d MSport manual, Mystic blue, black Dakota leather, Logic 7, Split R seat, heated F seat, R side airbags, advanced air con, business nav, 6cd, spare wheel, visibility pack) only to realise that I don't actually know that the split rear seat has a 3 point central seat belt.

Does it?

Also, I read reports that the cushioning (amount of and shape) is different from the standard R seat.
Can anyone confirm this? And what is the difference?

I was interested to see on showroom 530d sport over the weekend that it appeared to have a single CD player in the centre of the console in addition to the DVD slot for the NAV, and had lost the very small cubby-hole in F of the gear lever. I wonder if they're now coming built that way - anyone know?

I'm told by BMW UK the aux socket comes as standard from Mar 06. As does a 1.1% price rise.

My 2006 530xi has fold down rear seats and the center set belt is a 3 point seat belt. I have never traveled in the back seat, but my rear seat passengers haven't complained, so I assume it must be comfy enough. By the way, I also have heated rear seats.

The rear seat belt has a clever little buckle that allows you to disconnect the centre belt and fold down the seats. I think the fold down seats are pretty similar to the non-fold ones. I also have Isofix on mine which are in the base of the seats.

The additional CD drive I think comes when you have pro-nav. The lack of cubby hole is taken up by a CPU I believe.
